Shanghai, February 5 (SMM)-SMM conducted a survey on the 2021 Spring Festival holiday plans of Chinese secondary aluminum plants and downstream die-casting producers. The details are as follows.

Most of the large secondary aluminum plants have a holiday on February 9-11, and will resume work after February 16 and stop production for 6-12 days. Some secondary aluminum plants will operate normally during the holiday, the same as in previous years. Small and medium-sized factories closed earlier than large manufacturers, and some of them will not stop production due to strong orders. Due to the resurgence of COVID-19 cases in the region, the transportation of raw materials was restricted, and factories in Hebei Province suspended production ahead of schedule.

Most aluminum die-casting plants will be on holiday after February 4, and production will resume after February 17. Some manufacturers with more orders will shorten the holidays, but during the holidays there are almost no die-casting plants operating as usual.
